1000 East is a small community off Hyde Park Road that consists of twenty-two free standing and semi-detached homes just over a mile from the Santa Fe plaza. The neighborhood sits on just under fourteen acres of pinon pine and juniper forest in a quiet section of the Sangre de Cristo foothills.

The association is managed by an elected Board of Directors who work with the residents to keep the natural beauty of the neighborhood while maintaining fiscal responsibility, a high quality of life and a sense of community for its owners.

The association fees cover landscaping and maintenance of the common areas of the neighborhood, while individual homeowners are responsible for the maintenance of the exteriors of their homes.  An Architectural Review Committee, composed of owners, reviews all proposed changes to the exterior of homes.
